A weekend with our daughter and Cheryl's WIP (crazy quilting)

My daughter was home for a few days as she was a bridesmaid at her best friends wedding. It was wonderful having her home with us.

She got to meet little Bonnie (my sweet distraction)

So that meant time away from my sewing room.

This week coming is a busy one for me - I am busy teaching everyday ..............

I drafted these big diamond shapes for Marie to do instead of the smaller hexagons. In typical Marie style - they are going to be great!

The Rothwell class asked me for some photos of Cheryl's work that I had on the blog a while back. So here it is.
Cheryl bought this pattern at the Patchwork Angel. It is one in back stitch. However, I think that life is too short to be doing a whole project in back stitch.
So Cheryl began her journey about 18 months ago.

The original pattern is on the left but we added a bit to it. We added crazy quilting to the blocks - and some lace.

She enjoyed the whole process.

She is hoping to have it done by the end of the year,

The last two purses are Cheryl's design.

Just click onto the photos for a close-up image.

See you all soon.
