Betty and Mrs Echidna

I get to meet so many interesting women in my crazy quilting workshops.
Betty Johnstone is the author of a delightful children's book called "Mrs Echidna's Dilemma". Not only did Betty write the book she also did all the incredible embroidery that is featured in it. Australian flora and fauna in embroidery - stunning work.
Pop onto her website to read all about it -  http://mrsechidna.com/

During my workshops, Betty chose to make some hexagons as featured in my book.

Needless to say her embroidery is beautiful.............

...............and interesting..................

She added her trademark stump work...............

...................beading and another butterfly.............

.......buttons, beads and a spider or two................

..............feather stitch................
