Crazy quilting by Sharon S

I have come to the end of very busy year teaching - and it's been so good to meet so many new friendly students in my classes. Sharon being one of them. She began quietly, BUT she soon showed her funny, slightly naughty side.
And while she entertained us she produced her very beautiful crazy.

Her ribbon work is gorgeous...................

Sharon's stitch fingerprint is delicate................

....................as is her colour palette..................

Her little 6' squares are packed with beautiful stitch combinations........

................ quite a few spiders...............

......................the prettiest button clusters...................

.............ribbon work, feather stitch, buttons and more.................

.....................closed blanket stitch, feather, herringbone and a bee or two..........

Sharon did use my book for many of her ideas - but they are stamped with her own creativity.

Up close - buttons, wheat ear, spider and sequins - sew, so pretty!!

Blanket stitch fans....................

Spider web, rouched ribbon and straight feather - gorgeous.

Thank you, Sharon for sharing your wonderful work.
See you next year (I hope).

  2. Im loving Anns bright colors! For some reason we have an aversion to the color orange here in the states. As its my favorite color i try to use it as much as possible. And to see how you have used it to such lovely effect is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
