I have solved the issue with Blogger and we are back on track.
Two more blocks and then I will go through how I join the squares.
Seam that joins piece #5 to pieces #4, #2 and #3

Create padded straight stitches (Perle #8 and 7mm silk ribbon) along the top end of the stem.

2. Then add curved fern stitches with a Perle #8

3. Add a few beads to the end of the fern stitches.

4. I got a little carried away with the next few steps and forgot to take the step-by-step photos - OOPS!
With a Perle #8 thread create leaves using an uneven Fishbone stitch.

Next add Colonial knots in a Perle #8 to the end of the padded stab stitches.

Add extra stab stitches in a Perle #12 to the fern stitch.

Attach small seed beads on the ends of the fern stitches.

1. Along the seam create a number of straight stitch leaves using a twisted silk thread.

2. Add a small lazy daisy in 2mm silk ribbon to one side of the leaf.

3. Add two more longer straight stitches to the fan in a different color and a attach a small bead to the base of the leaf. To finish off form a colonial knot to the end of the new straight stitches.

1. Attach 3 small button along the seam - follow the rules of thirds principle
2. Form leaves at the base of the buttons with a 7mm silk ribbon and ribbon stitch.

3. Add some bling in the form of beads and sequins.

4. To make the little twigs couch down a straight stitch at jaunty angles. Couching is simply a stitch that holds another in place; similar to the couched ribbon garland.

5. Scatter a few small leaves along the couched twig.
