Feather stitch for Rothwell workshops and seam treatments additions by the Maleny workshops

Firstly, for those new to my blog. I post work done by me and by my very generous students. The watermark across the photos read either www.jenniferclouston (my work) or www.sewsocrazy.blogspot.com (my students work). It is very important to me that I am NOT credited for the beautiful work done by my students!!!!!

The Rothwell students have asked me for some photos of my work for feather stitch ideas.
So, here are some for you. Please take note that most of these seam treatments are still in their "naked" stage - they are a foundation for you to work add onto!!! Remember to do the basics and we can add on together in the class.

.....not the greatest photo but you get the idea of mixing up threads etc

More simple feather.............

My black crazy .................

Feather stitch is my favourite stitch ................

The July Maleny class lesson was all about adding "stuff" onto their existing seam treatments. This is what I love to in my classes - adding on small changes to enhance what my students have created.

I did not get to take a before of this seam treatment.

Denise forgot her little squares at home (Freudian slip???) so she chose a bit of fabric and we got started. I am looking forward to see what she has produced...............

I suppose it is all a matter of choice when it comes to crazy quilting. I do prefer a "cleaner" style of crazy where the seam treatments stand alone and do not blur into each other. That is what I so love about crazy - we all interpret it in our own way.

Till next time.
And I have not forgotten the recipes for those who asked for them - I will do them next post - I promise!!
